  1. Credit where credit is due: I also stole it… from one of my few role models. That quotation has been hanging in the locker room of the world champion San Antonio Spurs since 1997, when legendary coach Gregg Popovich took control of the team.

    The saliency of the quote is “hammered” home all the more by the fact that their jewel-encrusted hardware bears its likeness:
